Tax Administration Jamaica: Changing the way we do business! Making It Easier to File and Pay Taxes TAX ADMINISTRATION JAMAICA THE SHAW Festival presents the cher- ished holiday classic, Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn, based on the film from Universal Pictures, just in time for Christmas, from November 20 to December 23 in the festival theatre at Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. Directed by Kate Hennig, it features Vanessa Sears, who is of Jamaican and Guyanese heritage, and is appearing in the musical for the third time. Kyle Blair is Jim Hardy, a song and dance man who trades the bright lights of showbiz for the quiet life and a farmhouse. When he meets and falls for local tap-dancing schoolteacher Linda Mason (Kristi Frank), they turn the farmhouse into a spectacular inn that’s open only on holidays. It’s all blissfully perfect until the unexpected arrival of his old New York song and dance trio – Ted Hanover (Kyle Golemba) and Lila Dixon (Vanessa Sears) – puts a wrench in his plans. Sears, who was born in Deep River, Ontario, graduated with honours in the Sheridan Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance programme. She started performing in high-school and commu- nity theatre, followed by stints with the Deep River Youth Theatre, Streetlight Theatre, and The Deep River Musical Society, where she starred in some of her dream roles, including as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady , Maria in West Side Story , the Artful Dodger in Oliver, and Belle in Beauty and the Beast. During her time at Sheridan, Sears represented Canada in the interna- tional Voice of McDonalds singing competition and performed with the Confederation Centre of the Arts Young Company in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, in 2014. At Theatre Sheridan she starred in In The Height s as Nina, and was critically acclaimed in the smash hit Brantwood . Some of the greatest Irving Berlin songs – including Cheek to Cheek , Easter Parade and White Christmas – are brought to the stage in Holiday Inn with glorious singing and dancing. Also checking in at the Holiday Inn are Carla Bennett, Wren Evans, Élodie Gillett, Joshua Graetz, Gabrielle Jones, Amanda Lundgren, Jordan Mah and Allison McCaughey. The cast also include, MelanieMcInenly, KevinMcLachlan, Drew Plummer, David Andrew Reid, Jennifer Rider-Shaw, Kiera Sangster, Adam Sergison, Jason Sermonia, Julius Sermonia, Jacqueline Thair, Julia Thompson, and Jay Turvey.
